The ultimate guided kayaking tour in Sydney and one of the most beautiful paddles on Sydney Harbour. Explore the inner harbour of Sydney towards Vaucluse and admire magnificent views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge & Sydney Opera House. We'll stop for a delicious gourmet picnic lunch along the way including local cheeses, fresh prawns, gourmet salads and more. Suitable for beginners or advanced kayakers. Three and half to four hour experience including kayak tuition, paddling and lunch break.

This is a half day kayak between 3.5 to 4 hours duration. Meet time at the harbour is 10.30am. Finish time will be at approximately 3.00pm.

What type of kayaks do we use?
Our kayaks are state-of-the-art dagger double sea kayaks, they are extremely stable and the chances of a capsize are very remote. You will be wearing a PFD (life jacket) at all times and the kayaks are virtually unsinkable due to their airtight compartments.

Fitness level Required:
This is a 3.5 to 4 hour experience, including kayak tuition, paddling and lunch break, suitable for all persons with average fitness from beginners to advanced.

Weather conditions:
Rain will not affect the operation of our activities, in fact some of the best kayaking conditions are during rain. However strong winds may cause cancellation of our activities. If winds do look like they will affect the tour we will call you to discuss options, as we are a mobile kayak business we have some excellent alternative locations that are sheltered from the wind.

Things To Bring

What to bring To ensure you keep well hydrated, please bring at least 1.5 litres of drinking water. We also recommend a hat and sunscreen and if you want to enjoy the beach, bring your swimming costume and a towel. A life jacket will be provided for you. It's a good idea to bring a towel and change of clothes for after the kayak.

What to wear: You will get wet when kayaking from the paddle splash as well as getting wet feet as you get in and out of the kayak. Please wear comfortable lightweight clothes (no jeans), wear a hat and crocs or shoes which can get wet. Bring your swimming costume if you would like to enjoy a swim. Bring a lighweight wet weather jacket in case of rain.

Winter Paddles: We run kayaking tours all year round. We will provide you with spray skirts which keep you warm and stop you getting wet from paddle splash. Please wear a wet weather jacket to keep you warm and dry on top.

Inclusions

Fully guided tour by our professional kayaking guide including kayak & PFD (life-vest) hire and kayak and safety instruction. We provide a delicious picnic lunch and refreshments.

Exclusions

Wet weather jacket for cold days - please bring your own lighweight rain jacket.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations
* Cancellations received 4 days (96 hours) or less will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
* Please also note that failure to arrive will incur a fee of 100% of full tour cost.
* Transfer to another date can only be made 5 days or more prior to the departure.
* Please note rain will not affect our kayak tours in fact some of the best kayaking conditions are during rain. If the rain is torrential or if winds are too high for safe kayaking Life's An Adventure will reschedule your trip for another date.


Conditions of travel
The Company reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payments have not been received by the Company within the times specified. It is a condition of carriage that a passenger has paid all tour monies prior to the departure of the tour. The Company reserves the right to alter the itinerary or cancel a tour without notice as may be found necessary for any reason whatsoever including, but not limited to, road, weather or traffic conditions, track closures, operational conditions and requirements. Where a tour is cancelled prior to the departure date we shall endeavour to offer the nearest possible alternative tour (subject to a refund or payment to cover any tour price difference) or, it this is not acceptable, refund your monies in full. All additional expenses incurred as a result of any delays, cancellations or alterations will be the sole responsibility of the passenger. A minimum number is required to operate our day tours. Where sufficient numbers cannot be achieved, the Company reserves the right to cancel a scheduled departure or request you transfer to another date, if an alternative date is not available your money will be refunded in full. Any special passenger requirements must be notified to the Company at the time of booking. No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on the tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of any representative of the Company, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or whereby they become objectionable to other passengers, or they become a hazard to themselves or other passengers.



Weather Conditions Policy:
Activities will normally operate in all but exceptional weather conditions. Conditions such as fog, mist, drizzle, showers, rain, sleet do not affect normal operation of our activities. Rain will not effect kayaking activities, in fact some of the best kayaking conditions are during rain., however strong winds may cause cancellation due to unsafe conditions. Weather predictions saying a "possibility" of thunderstorms will not cause a cancellation of an activity - guides will monitor the weather conditions during the activity and evacuate passengers from the water if this looks likely to occur. We will notify you by phone the day prior or morning of a trip if we need to cancel. If we cancel we will transfer your booking to another date, if another date is not possible, we will refund your money in full. No refunds or transfers are given to those who choose not to kayak because of inclement weather if we have not cancelled the activity. If winds do look like they will affect the tour we will call you to discuss options first, as we are a mobile kayak business and have some excellent alternative locations that may be sheltered from the wind.

Meet at 10.30am SHARP at the boat ramp at Woollahra Sailing Club, Vickery Avenue Rose Bay. The boat ramp is located on the right hand side of the building. Look out for your kayak instructor who will be wearing a Life's An Adventure T'shirts. Please note you MUST be on time - all kayakers must be there for the kayak briefing even if they have kayaked before- latecomers may be turned away.
