from the Blue Mountains to Jenolan Caves. Winding through State forests
and national parks, the 6 Foot track follows the 44 kilometre route of
the original 1884 Bridal track between Katoomba and Jenolan Caves.
Crossing mountain ranges and falling into
deep valleys, the Six Foot Track features sheer sandstone cliffs,
waterfalls and panoramas of richly-forested valleys. Camp under the
stars and enjoy fine wine or beer and a delicious gourmet dinner. Time
is allowed at the end of the walk to explore the magnificent Jenolan
Caves.

An Adventure is the primary Tour Operator on the Six Foot Track. Our
Six Foot Track packages include snack packs, breakfasts, 2 lunches and
delicious gourmet dinners such as fresh snapper, Thai Chicken curries ,
french crepes - plus much more, as well as refreshments and beer and
wine to enjoy with dinner. All group camping and cooking equipment is
transported daily by our support vehicle. You'll spend your nights
camping under the stars with your tent erected for your arrival for
those that choose the deluxe or super deluxe packages.
Three levels of packages to choose from

An Adventure is the only Tour Operator offering mulitple packages on
the Six Foot Track and have three different packages to choose from. For
those training and wanting to get fit, you can pay less and carry your
own tent and personal items. Or for those that want to be pampered,
we'll carry your overnight bags and set up your tent with your choice of
a dome tent with deluxe mattress or luxury stand up touring tent with
off the ground beds.
Join us on a guided walk of the famous Six Foot Track from the Blue Mountains to Jenolan Caves. Our tours run in both directions Katoomba to Jenolan Caves or reverse. The itinerary below outlines the forward direction - on popular long weekend departures we may run two departures - one running in the reverse direction.
Day 1: Walk 15kms approximately 6 hours We start our walk near the Explorer Tree and follow the main track down to the clifftop lookout above the gorge of Nellies Glen from here you look down the Megalong Creek Valley in the direction you will be walking. Enjoy a delicious lunch in the Megalong Valley with spectacular views back towards the Blue Mountains escarpment. We continue through the valley and cross the Bowtells Swing Suspension bridge to Coxs River Â] bring your swimmers as this is a great place to take a dip and revitalise in the crystal clear waters. Tonight we will stay at a bushwalking lodge overlooking Coxs River, here we will enjoyable gourmet dinner with wine and swap stories with your travelling companions.
Day 2: Walk 19kms  approximately 7 hours Enjoy a delicious breakfast. A challenging morning awaits with 3kms of steep track rising over 400 metres climbing the slope from little river to the ridge of Black Range.Enjoy a lunch stop to reenergize before continuing on. Our walk follows the fire trail along Black Range passing through wooded country. Relax when you arrive at your campsite with a glass of wine, as a gourmet dinner is prepared.
Day 3: Walk 10kms  approximately 4 hours We walk along the steep fire trail down Binoomera Ridge passing Carlotta Arch before arriving at Jenolan Caves between approximately 1.30 - 2.00pm. Free time is available. Lunch can be purchased at the kiosk at Jenolan Caves House at your own expense. Time also available to explore these amazing caves  bring additional money if you wish to view the caves . Prices start from $27 per person. Return transfers to the caves will leave at 3pm sharp (by an external transfer company), arriving ack into Katoomba at approximately 4.30pm.
Reverse Itinerary:
Day 1: Jenolan Caves to Black Range
Day 2: Black Range to Coxs River
Day 3: Coxs River to Nellies Glen.

Full weather gear needed as climate is variable
We suggest wearing layers when you are walking that you can remove or add as you warm up or
cool down.
Walking clothes suitable to weather: Long sleeves, trousers, shorts, t'shirts, or shirts
Closed toe, sturdy footwear; worn at all times. We suggest good walking boots/shoes ‐ that have
been walked in at least 4 weeks prior to the walk
Thermal underwear, jumper and warm gear for night, scarf, beanie, gloves etc (Black Range is
1200m above sea level it can be very cold here at night so please come prepared  please note is
snowed here on our Sept 25th departure)
2 ‐ 3 pairs of good thick walking socks
a pair of shoes to change into at night

Inclusions
We have three packages to choose from. For those that want more creature comforts choose our deluxe package and we'll transport your luggage to the campsite and have a walk in touring tent set up and ready for your arrival. Or Super Deluxe package is for those who want a little more luxury and includes walk-in touring tents and off the ground beds. Or for those training and wanting to get fit, you can pay less with our standard package and provide and carry your own tent and overnight pack.

SUPER DELUXE PACKAGE:
The Super Deluxe Package includes all of the above items except your tent will be upgraded to a canvas walk-in Touring tents with off the ground beds.
STANDARD PACKAGE:
In the standard package you must provide your own backpack, tent, sleeping mattress and sleeping bag and carry all your own gear.

Cancellation Policy
Our Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing (not sms). Notice of cancellation is not effective until received by the Company and must be made during office hours and do not include weekends or public holidays. The following fees apply to each individual person on cancellation:
Overnight Tours:
* 42 days and over.... Loss of deposit.
* 41 to 21 days.......... 25% of tour fare;
* 20 to 3 days.............50% of tour fare.
* Less than 3 days.....will incur a 100% cancellation fee regardless of circumstances.
Transfers to another date will be accepted but must be made 5 days or more prior to departure. Transfers must be made in writing (not sms). Notice of transfer is not effective until received by the Company and must be made during office hours and do not include weekends or public holidays. Transfer to a new departure date is subject to availability and minimum numbers and must be within 6 months of the original booking date. Transfers will incur a $10 administration fee. Inclement weather will not effect the normal operation of our tours please read out Weather Conditions policy below.
The Company strongly recommends that you obtain suitable private travel insurance prior to departure to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
Weather Conditions Policy:
Activities will normally operate in all but exceptional weather conditions. Conditions such as fog, mist, drizzle, showers, rain, sleet and windy conditions do not affect normal operation of our activities. Rain will not effect kayaking activities, in fact some of the best kayaking conditions are during rain., however strong winds may cause cancellation due to unsafe conditions. If this happens we will transfer your booking to another date, if another date is not possible, we will refund your money in full. If winds do look like they will affect the tour we will call you to discuss options first, as we are a mobile kayak business and have some excellent alternative locations that may be sheltered from the wind.
Conditions of travel
The Company reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payments have not been received by the Company within the times specified. It is a condition of carriage that a passenger has paid all tour monies prior to the departure of the tour.
The Company reserves the right to alter the accommodation and/or itinerary or cancel a tour without notice as may be found necessary for any reason whatsoever including, but not limited to road, weather, bushfires or traffic conditions, track or park closures, strong winds, high seas, operational conditions and requirements. Where a tour is cancelled prior to the departure date we shall endeavour to offer the nearest possible alternative tour (subject to a refund or payment to cover any tour price difference) or, it this is not acceptable, refund your monies in full. All additional expenses incurred as a result of any delays, cancellations or alterations will be the sole responsibility of the passenger.
A minimum number participants booked are required to operate all tours, where sufficient numbers cannot be achieved, the Company reserves the right to cancel a scheduled departure. The decision to operate the tour is usually made 14 days prior to the departure date.
Any special passenger requirements must be notified to the Company at the time of booking. No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on the tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of any representative of the Company, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or whereby they become objectionable to other passengers, or they become a hazard to themselves or other passengers.
